Hello Dot & All,
I've collected some Edmonds bits & pieces, while looking for parents of
Richard Edmondson b. 1805, m. Margaret (Barron?) & in Union Co., GA in 1834.

There was a Francis (Frank) Edmonds Wilkes Co., GA, who left a
Wilkes Co. will of 9 July 1799. Francis had a Rev. War bounty landgrant in
of 400 a. in Wilkes Co. 1785 & 5 tracts in Ogle. Co. Rachel (1824 Jasper
Co., GA will) & had: Richard (@1769-1840 Newton Co., GA); John B@1733 m.
Franny Brown 2 Feb 1806 Wilkes Co.; Ann Dixon Edmonds; Catherine; Salley m.
Travis McLendon; Eliz. Bailey Edmonds; Mary; Dorothy (Dolly); & Eloch (Eli?
There was an Eli Edmonds 74 b. GA, Penfield PO, Greene Co., GA 1870 census).

Francis was the son of John Edmonds, supposedly b. Wales, who also had
Sidney, Wm., John, & a dau m. Mathew Cox. They m. into the Buckner & Tatum
families. This John Edmonds may have m. a Mary Hinton. There is a Halifax
Co. (VA or NC) will of a Hinton, whose exrs. John & Mary Edmonds(on?)
refused, that I probably have somewhere. This John claims to have had no
relatives & it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't start out as an Edmondson.

Most of this should be in the EDMONDS archives, as there are several people
