I have a newspaper from 1847 that details Major Edmonson's Battle with the Indians in the Cañon of Red River, and have OCR'ed it and will gladly email a copy to anyone interested. Edmonson is praised highly for his leadership and bravery, an account written by RICHARD S. ELLIOTT. Other names mentioned are Halliway, Robinson, Horine, Dent & others.
