Thanks, Earl. I would say the DNA testing was very valuable in your case.
You will now be able to focus on the correct family and not waste a lot of time with lines that are not yours.
I heard back from Candy who administers the Edmondson family DNA site.
She has been ill and is going to arrange for someone else to keep the site updated.
So maybe we will know more soon.

Hello Carol, I am the sponsor of my uncle whose DNA is in the Edmondson Project Kit No. 38892.
It appears that several kits have been issued and not returned for analysis. The results of my uncles kit helped resolve some of the line one of the researchers used on my line. They had used some information that indicated we were descended from William "The Irish Hammer" line, however the tested indicated otherwise. At least we can regroup to known/factual data and start the process over. Kit 38892 eliminates William and goes to known ancestors to the best of our ability at this time. Best wishes, Earl Cagle
