Have just come across the following information : "EGGLESTON COLLIN CAMPBELL. 7th November 1882 The will of Collin Campbell Eggleston late of Cornforth in the County of Durham Farmer who died at SPIRIT LAKE DICKINSON COUNTY in the STATE of IOWA in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA was proved at DURHAM by William Eggleston of Thinford Mill in the County of Durham the Uncle the sole Executor." Would be really interested to find further information about this. Maybe a local paper report? or maybe if there is a local burial ground.
