Many thanks for the replies on this. When we first saw the census dates we
also thought it was likely to be when the communion was first taken. But
sometimes the Communicated year is several years before the Confirmation
year, and for other people there can be a gap of (say) 4 years after
confirmation for the Communicated year. In any case, we'd have expected that
Confirmation was also the date when the person took their first communion?
So we're still a bit puzzled, and any further comments will be welcomed.
Many thanks,

I would assume that is when they have their first communion; ie eating
the bread and drinking the wine after being transformed into the Body
and Blood of Christ

Sorry to show our ignorance, but can anyone tell us what is implied by
these
two phrases? This is in the context of baptised, confirmed, communicated
as
laid out in an ecclesiastical register. We know about being baptised and
confirmed, but not sure about communicated. There sometimes seems to be
a
gap of several years between confirmed and communicated, and either
event
can occur first. So we're puzzled, and hope that SKS out there can
enlighten
us.
Many thanks,
