Concerning "Chesnuts". This may help. My ggggrandfather William VOICE
gave his address in 1843 as Chessnut, near Littledean in the County of
Gloucester. He was a woodsman. This document concerned the will of his
father James Voice/Voyce (married to Ann Evans) whose address was Chesnut
Hill Lodge, Little Dean.

> The 1829 Baptism record of Hannah Herbert in Drybrook gives the abode of
her parents, John and Sarah Herbert as 'Chesnuts' and her father's
occupation as a woodman. I'm very interested in finding out more about this
place where my ancestors lived, obviously it should be shown as 'Chestnuts'
