Hi Vicky,

I tried one of the Ancestry.com free trials a few weeks ago and noticed
that some of their parish names verge on gobbledegook. It's as if they're
using some sort of character recognition software and it's not working as
well as it might in some cases. They also appear to group separate parishes
together.

As Hanham and Oldland parishes are next door to each other it looks like
they've been grouped together on the CD. To sort out which parish the event
happened in you will need to check the parish registers. Your Ancestry.com
CD should be treated as a secondary source anyway, and any entries you are
interested in should be checked in the parish registers.

Best regards,
Linda Hansen
