Dear Penny,
Thank you for getting back to me with news concerning my enquiries about
the above surnames.
I would be pleased if you would ask your friend if the marriage of
Samuel Balls to Mary Boughton on 10th May 1812 is of interest.
I have yet to establish the link between Robert Hanworth Ives and the
Lord Mayors of Norwich but glad to read that there is a road of that name.
Finally, the news that there is now a Varden list prompted me to ask if
any of the listers had a family tree linked to my John Thomas Varden
(1852-1938). Lo and behold there is now a new site devoted to the name
and derived names with an extensive Varden family tree. Have a look at
