I am looking on information on my great-grandmother, Effie (Ethel) Mae Ewell, She was the daughter of Clayton Ewell and Maramanda (amanda) Newbern. Clayton Ewell was the son of Dennis Ewell (B. 1812). I can find no information on Dennis Ewell or his parents. I know that they lived in the False Cape area of VA/NC. Clayton Ewell was a member of the Coast Guard . I believe Dennis Ewell lived in an area called Wash Woods. Dennis Ewell was married to Elizabeth Keeling. Does anyone know anything about these Ewell's or Newbern's or Keeling's? I'm at a dead end. Thanks.
