Hi, Bill,
Jumping on the bandwagon to ask if this book has any information on
JAMES S. PORTER--my brick wall. He was in Gwinnett in the 1830's.
Haven't been able to find his wife, siblings, parents.
Have his son, JOHN POWELL PORTER, but he was just a child by the time
JAMES moved to Troup Co.in the late 1830's. James died there in 1843,
leaving two orphans. Believe his wife was dead before his death.
Anyway, if this book can help me with my "problem person" I will be
ordering post haste!
Appreciate your help,
Suzanne Coker
