**Where could one find this book for purchase? I am looking to find any info
on my great-great grandfather's parents. My great grandfather is Hiram R.
HOLMES and is first found in the 1860 Census for Gwinnett County (surname is
spelled HOLMS), 444th district - Caines P.O. Page 637.
HOLMS, Hiram age 25 bp GA
" ", Mary age 24 bp GA
" ", Martha age 8/12 bp GA
Cook, Richard age 21 bp GA
A fellow researcher told me he was in the confederate army. I just haven't
had the time to look the info up about his military service. Hiram HOLMES is
still in Gwinnett County in 1870 (Lawrenceville). He obiviously died bef.
1880 - for there is no record of him that year or any year after that.
I would love to know more about the book mentioned just to take a chance and
see if this family may be included.
Thank you,
Jennifer Gilbert Gibson
