Am trying to locate information on Absalom, Absalum or Ansalom BAILEY , BALEY or BAILY, his forebears and descendants. What I have so far :

He was born abt 1782-1784 in SC (per census records) and died sometime after the 1860- census of Gwinnett County, Georgia. He married to Anna or Amy (_). Another family researcher supplied the following birth date info' : Absalom Bailey born 16 Feb 1782 SC, wife Anna born 17 May 1784 SC, but does not have any documentation to confirm or verify, nor has any source references to follow.
I found him on the following records :
In the Twentieth District - 3rd Section - He drew land lot # 191 as Absalum Bailey in the Cherokee Land Lottery, GMD 404 of Gwinnett, Georgia. (Source : History of Gwinnett County Georgia 1818-1943 Vol. 1 page 157)

1830 Census, Gwinnett , Georgia Absalom BAILEY
HH of ; Absalom Bailey aged 40-49, with other MALES : 1@ 5-9, 1@ 10-14, 1@ 15-19 : and FEMALES: 1@ 1-4, 1 @ 15-19 , 1 @ 20-29 , 1 @ 40-49.

1840 Census, Dist. 404, Gwinnett Georgia Absalom BALEY
Abasalom BALEY HH aged 50-60, other males 1 @ 15-20, 1@ 20-30 : Females 1@ 50-60, and 1@ 10-15.

5 Nov 1850 Census, Town Dist., Gwinnett, Georgia (Stamped page 235). ABSALOM BAILY
HH 1567 FAM 1567, lines 10-11: Absalom BAILY, age 66, b. S.C. Shoemaker, value 80, can NOT read/write, wife Anna Baily age 66 b. S.C. she CAN read/write.

23 June 1860 Census, Lawrenceville P.O., Dist. 407 Gwinnett, GA. Ansalum BAILEY
HH 226 FAM 226, lines 22-23, Ansalum and Amy Bailey age 79 & 76, no occupations, personal estate value 25, both born S.C.

In the 1860 Census, Absalom and Amy are living between possible son, Joel W Bailey listed in error as:
HH and FAM 225 , lines 14-21 : Jas W BAILY (ERR s/b J. W. Bailey) age 39 blacksmith personal estate value 500 born SC
wife Sarah (Peters) Baily age 45 wife and children all born GA . are : dtr Martha Baily age 17, son William Baily age 14, Bell (ERR s/b son B. M. ) Baily age 19, Eliza age 11, Robert age 6, and Victon (ERR listed as a female s/b son, Victor age 1).

I could not definetly make out these Initials, or name as the head and wife of this family. But are both blacksmiths and close in ages, enough to be brothers, per the above census records. I would like to know who this Bailey family is.
and possible son, HH and Fam 227, lines 24-32, : JJ ?? Bailey ; age 42, Blacksmith Personal estate value 50 born SC wife and children all born GA. are: (?) Monah age 41, Mary age 16, John age 11, Jane age 9, Joel age 8, Harriett age 6, Amos (?) age 5 and James age 1.

We can not find Absalom after the 1860 census. Perhaps Absalom and Anna/Amy died, or removed from Gwinnett county ? I could not find them listed on any of the Mortality censuses.
It is possible Joel W D Bailey was a son of Absalom and Anna (Amy) MNU Bailey. Joel W D Bailey married, abt 1841, to, Sarah Angeline Peters, and had six children and descendants that remained in and around Gwinnett County for years, before they relocated. Joel Baily and Sarah are found on the 1870 Census of Gwinnett, but Joel died before the 1880 census, as Sarah is living with her dtr and son in law and grandchildren, Eliza J (Bailey) and Daniel S BRYAN , also with Sarah's youngest son Victor W Bailey in the 1880 Census of Gwinnett. That is the last I can find Sarah Angeline (Peters) Bailey. I have no death dates, places, or burial information on Joel or Sarah Angeline (Peters) BAILEY.
We are trying to find confirmation or any documentation on the ancestors and descendants of Absalom Bailey and discover his wife (wives) maiden name and family.
