GAMBILL Coble G., age 84, of Cookson, Ok. Services Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the
Cookson Methodist Church with burial in the Tahlequah City Cemetery. He was a
graduate of Cumberland University School of Law, Lebanon, Tn. He had served as
Commissioner of Public Safety for State of Okla., and as Assistant
Superintendent of Enid Schools, and as Sergent of Arms with the Okla. State
House of Representatives, retiring in 1976 after 41 years service. Moved to
Lake Tenkiller in 1977. He was a member of the Crown Heights Methodist Church,
OKC. He is survived by his wife, Avis; a son, C. Greer Gambill II, Noel, Mo.;
daughter, Judith G. Seward, San Antonio, Tx.; 4 grandchildren, 3 great
grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. John (Nora) Hampton of Orinda, Ca. and Mrs.
George (Viola) Child of Borger, Tx. Memorials may be made to the Okla. Medical
Research Foundation. Arrangements by Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah.
