ORPHANS'COURT SALE OF REAL ESTATE. - In pursuance of an Order
issued out of the Orphans'Court of Delaware county, will be
exposed to public sale, on the premises, on Saturday, the 24th
of February, 1855, at one o, P.M., all that certain
messuage and tract of land situate in the township of
Birmingham, in said county, bounded by lands of Samuel << Gamble>> ,
James Twaddell, Isaac Watkin, and by the Brinton road,
containing FIFTY THREE PERCHES, more or less. The improvements
consist of a good and substantial stone house, 16 by 26 feet,
three stories high, with a piazza, a well of good water at the
door, and a stable 12 by 18 feet; also a frame shop, 12 by 16
feet, late the estate of Ethan Brinton, deceased. The above is
in a good neighborhood, near Chads'Ford, on the Brandywine,
convenient to schools, mills and places of worship. The
Baltimore Railroad passes near the same. Conditions at sale.

A CONTRACT AWARDED. - The contract for building a bridge over
ChaddFord, has been awarded by the Commissioners to WILLIAM
<< GAMBLE>> of Concord, and NATHAN JESTER of Chester county. The
structure is to be two hundred feet long, and the price at
which it was taken is $5940. The counties of Delaware and
Chester are to be the paymasters.
