GANNAWAY Paul R., 84 of Naples, FL died Friday, June 8, 2001. Mr. Gannaway
was formerly a resident of Norwood, OH and lived in the Cincinnati, OH area
for 40 years before moving to Florida. He was employed by the Singer Sewing
Machine Company for 35 years. He had been a member of the First Presbyterian
Church of Pleasant Ridge, OH. Before moving to Naples, he and his wife,
Florence were residents of Clearwater for 13 years. Paul was an active
member of the First United Methodist Church of Naples, FL at the time of his
death. He enjoyed traveling, card games particularly bridge, and story
telling. Known the world over for his stories, Paul will be remembered as a
loving father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his two daughters,
Joyce A. O'Meara of Naples, FL and Janis DeWitt of Palm Coast, FL; a son,
Paul V. Gannaway of Cincinnati, OH; 13 grandchildren and ten great
grandchildren; as well as countless friends. A memorial service will be
celebrated Saturday, June 16, 2001 at 11 A.M. at the First United Methodist
Church, 388 1st Avenue South, Naples, FL 34102. Memorial contributions may
be made in lieu of flowers, to the First United Methodist Church at the
above address specified for their Memorial Garden.
