Are you a descendent of Sarah Francis Gannaway Keesling Windle? Or Martha Winniford Gannaway Spratt? Or Emeline Ann aka Ann Emeline Gannaway McDonald? Or Mary Catherine Gannaway Richardson?

The Lost Children of Wythe County, Virginia, 1790-1878: Poor School Children, Orphans and Apprentices from County Records, reads this way:

"Sarah F. Gannaway upwards of age 14 chose John Gannaway her guardian and he is appointed for Emiline, Martha, and John T. Gannaway, children of said John Gannaway. Security on the bond, Robert Gibboney. (Footnote 708 refers for further information about the Gannaway family, see Kegley, Early Adventurers...Vol. 3, pp 441-444."
