according to a book I have on garners they came from France and the name was
GARDINEER WHICH MENT KEEPERS OF THE GRAIN and in the 1500's they were
prosicuted because of their faith and left france for Germany,England,
Ireland,
and Scotland and in the 1600's migrated to America for the same reason.
I have not seen proof they were Hugenots but they were in the same
"BOAT",if you know what I mean? gabbie
