George W. Gartman's middle name was "WASHINGTON". I talked to his grandson {son of Daniel D. Gartman by GW's 2 wife Susanna HOWARD} today on the phone today.The "W" does not stand for William. GW had 2 sons {Daniel & Charles} by Susanna HOWARD, & 5sons & 4 daughters by his first wife Emily Ann MILLER, Emily died , & he had to have someone to take care of all the kids so he married Susanaa {Listed as Sarah on1880 Mobile Co.,Mount Vernon-Ala ED109 Sheet 15 Census}--Check it out--glo
