I'm researching a MARY JANE GARTMAN born ca 1838 Alabama who married 1858 in
Macon Co, Alabama to Henry L. LaPlace born ca 1822 Virginia.

They were in Macon in 1860, but by 1870 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co, Ala. By
1880, they had moved to Shreveport, Caddo Co, Louisiana.

Henry L. LaPlace was consistently listed as a physician in all these census.
He likely died at Shreveport between 1880-1900, she died after 1900.
