I'm not going to be much help --- I don't know Owen's parents for "sure and certain" --- the "Passing of the Pines - A History of Wilcox County, Georgia" Vol. II pg.135-136 says that father of Owen Mulkey is possibly John Mulkey. Another person listing Owen Daniel Mulkey on one of the genealogical websites lists his parents as John E. Mulkey, b. Aug 3 1794 in Greenville SC, d. 1875 in Pickens GA. and Nancy ?, b. 1796 in NC, d. ? in Terrel GA. John's parents = Phillip Mulkey, b.1756 in Orange NC, d. Jan 31, 1842 in Gilmer GA. and Mary Pollie, b. 1765 in NC, d. Apr 23, 1843 in Gilmer GA., married Nov 16, 1790. They may be in a better position than I am to know these things. I married into the family and live in Texas so don't have ready access to county records or cemeteries. If you know more than I do, I'd appreciate you sharing with me. And I'll share with you too of course.
