I was just going over the information again. The John E. Mulkey that was born 3 Aug 1794, (the son of Philip 1756) married Esther Elliott 13 Aug 1818, in South Carolina. They have 6 children: Philip being born in 1819; Arthur 1822; David 1824; John 1827; James William 1831 and Lucinda 1833.
Why I'm more focused on John and Nancy is based on the 1850 census this family is clustered together in the same area. The migration pattern is a close match.
This John is the son od James Mulkey b. 1767 in NC and Ann
