Hello Geise researchers,

I have the old leather-bound German Bible that belonged to my great-great grandfather, Henry Geise (1818-1900). Its dimensions are 4½"x7½"x3½". It does not contain indication of publisher or date, but Henry wrote his name and date inside the front cover in 1839. I am using a digital camera to photograph the book.

Yesterday I found in this Bible an envelope containing a forgotten colored slide that I made many years ago of the wedding certificate for Henry Geise and Susanna Brouse (1831-1885). Their nuptials were performed on 14 March 1847 in Snyder Co. Pa. I have scanned the slide into a digital file.

If any descendants of Henry and Susanna (Brouse) Geise wish to receive digital photos of this Bible and wedding certificate, please send me affirmation of your ancestral connection to them.

If you are not sure of your connection to them and want me to help you look at possibilities, I can look through the 474 descendants and 238 spouses of descentants I have recorded for them. Send me the information you have that points to a Geise ancestry and I will try to help you search for a connection.
