To all those who offered suggestions for my problems with GenSmarts - thank
you very much. GenSmarts support finally tracked it down and it turned out
to be a check on the screen where one notes their subscription. For some
reason the Heritage Quest option was checked.
Am I the only GenSmarts user who does not have a paid subscription to
Ancestry, Heritage Quest, etc.? If not, would you care to post what free
web sites GenSmarts offers to you? This seems to me to be a fairly
important issue with web searching. As I said earlier, the only three I
have are the Family Search 1880 census, Indiana Marriages before 1850, and
the Bureau of Land Management data base of Land Grants (which has been
offline for some time).
Thanks again to all of you and to GenSmarts support guru, Aaron.
