Your Marshall sounds amazingly close to being my great-grand uncle, Marshall
M. GENSAMER. Some of the information on my Marshall came from one of his
descendants, Bill Weishaupt at , although I do not know
if that Email address is current.

My Marshall was born 4 Feb 1886, believed to be either near Warriors Mark,
Huntingdon County, Pa., or near Bellwood, Blair County. According to Bill,
this Marshall moved to New York and died in Wellsville in March of 1969.
This Marshall's parents were Samuel S. GENSAMER and Hannah Margaret HILL.
This birth is recorded in the Gensamer family bible along with 16 other
brothers and sisters. My father descends from Marshall's brother Jerry Ebbs
GENSAMER.

Bill believes that Marshall married Blanche ELLINGER and they had a son
named Lon, but a surviving nephew of Marshall believes that Marshall married
a woman by the name of Grace and they adopted a son named Richard. There
seems to be scant information about Marshall at the annual Gensamer Reunion
held each third Sunday in July at Bland Park, Tipton, Blair County. With so
little known, I suppose it is possible that he married more than once. I do
have an undated digital photo on file of this Marshall with his new bride,
presumed to be Blanche, with Niagara Falls in the background. If you have
any images of your Marshall, perhaps you could compare them.

Now here is one other possibility. The above mentioned Samuel S. GENSAMER's
fifth born son was also Samuel S. GENSAMER, born 10 October 1867. He would
have been born either near Warrior's Mark, Huntingdon County, or in Centre
County. Half Moon Township in Centre Co. was one place where Sam Sr. is
known to have lived with his family.

I have absolutely no information on Samuel Jr., so it is very possible that
he could have also had a son named Marshall.

The way that you spell Gensamer leads me to suspect that we could have a
match, but you need a few more pieces of the puzzle to confirm this.

Regards,
Fred Lauver
