Glenn:
Harold Gensmer, who you have listed as living in Oregon, I'm sure he never did
live there. His father was Gustave Gensmer and Harold lived on the home farm
less than a mile from Norton Church. He married Clanette Kohner of
Rollingstone.
Bertha Gensmer, who was married to August Hilke III was the sister of August
Gensmer, Sr. (my grandfather). I think in the earlier correspondence there is
reference to the fact that grandpa and siblings were all from the same mother --
their father married three times, but had no children with the second and third
wife. But I should double-check with my aunt, Frieda (Dad's youngest sister).
By the way, Frieda is now living in Dubuque IA after living in CA for many years
-- presently staying with my cousin and his wife while she waits for an opening
at a nursing home in Dubuque.
