Theodore in the USA worked better than Dietrich, Theodoric, or Theodoros, or
one of the many other spellings, I'm guessing. An ancient form of Dietrich,
however, is Theoderich . One source says it translates to Derek (doubtful),
and still another says it comes from Richard. So on we go..........

Now I'll have to rethink my assumptions.
