Frank:

Your ISP does the filtering. I do not know which system Bell South goes through, but when the SBC/ATT buyout of Bell South is complete they will probably change it to Yahoo, which is what everything for SBC, Southwestern Bell, Prodigy, and all other old names now goes through. (I am now retired from SBC.)

My ISP takes anything they consider "spam" and drops it in a "Bulk" folder. I can review that folder to see if anything was dropped in there in error (Which has happened when someone sends to multiple email addresses.) If there is one, I can mark it "Not Spam" and that person's emails to me will not be dropped in there again. If I get something from anyone that I do not want, I click the button "Spam" and I never see their email in my in-box again.

If you would really want some good info or a better understanding of spam filters, go to Google and enter "spam filters" or " Bayesian filtering technology." If you are like most of us the info on this subject can make your eyes glaze over. I would not worry about the spam, unless you have had a really big problem with it.
