If you are feeling overwhelmed by e-mails, or they are not of interest to
you, instead of getting your blood pressure up, you might try going "no
mail" for your settings.
That way, you can read only the messages you want to read, when you want to
read them, they don't fill up your box, and you don't get all frustrated
trying to keep up.
I had to do that for quite a few lists I was on, when I was teaching school
and had too much paper work to do. Worked well. I'm on one list where
people constantly send messages to the list that only say things like
"LOL", or "Smile", cutesy little comebacks, and those are really time
consuming to wade through. Periodically, if I'm busy, I just have to go "no
mail" on that list. But, they are a friendly bunch and no one seems to
mind.
Just a thought, rather than getting upset or unsubscribing, as some have
done.
Personally, I didn't notice that many e-mails that it became too much to
just delete.
