Dear List:
Someone from another site told me about a 50 volume set of books,
Germans to America. Will try to get to a library and check it out.
Can't find the person to say thanks.
--------
I am trying to trace my husband's two families.
His Grandparents on his father's side.
Michael Freund b. 1851
Rosa Post b. 1852
Sailed to the USA in the either 1871 or 1877.
Information from two different census reports.
They were from: Spelled: Bairen.
They were Catholic.
His Grandparents on his Mother's side.
Michael Aschenbrenner b. 1851
Catherine Pillmieir b. 1864
Maria "Mary" Aschenbrenner b. 1887
George Aschenbrenner b. 1888
Catherine Aschenbrenner b. 1889 his mother
Sailed to the USA in 1891
They were from Barmen
They were Catholic.
Any ideas that will help me in making a connection, would be gratefully
appreciated.
Which port were they most likely to have sailed from?
Thank You
Mary Jane Freund USA
