Hello Ursula:

I'm hoping to find out the name of the ships they used to came to the USA .
And how to trace their families back in Germany.
I've done fairly well with the USA history.

Both families settled in Allegheny County, Pittsburgh, Pa.

As far as the Michael and Rosa Freund's are concerned: The census has all
the children being born in the USA, starting in 1874. That could be wrong, if
they came in 1877.
The Freund's were from Bavaria.


Michael and Catherine Aschenbrenner came with their first three children.
The youngest being Paul's mother.
The Aschenbrenner's were from Barmen.

I'm hoping the ship's list will tell, the name of the city they came from.
