Dear Susan:

So glad that you had a good experience with NARA.
Some people have. Some people have not.

I sent for docs, complete with payment (nonrefundable)
and they found nothing. Hired a professional genealogist
to look for the same records at NARA, she found them.

Same sort of thing happened when I made another request.
This request was with a genealogist who went to NARA.
They told her "no docs" on her first visit. We both knew
the records were there, so she went back the next day
and worked with another NARA employee. Of course, the
records were there - over 200 pages of CW records
were printed out.

There appear to be no employee standards at NARA.
As Forest Gump says, "Like a box of chocolates, you never
know what (who) you're going to get."
