Hello,



I am trying to find my ggggrandfather's roots in Germany.

He is from Hesse-Darmstadt.

According to the 1900 census, he was born Dec. 1823, married (to Phelexia,
Felicia Cable, Kuebel) for 45 years, immigrated in 1840.

He had a tailor store in Buffalo, NY.

He is buried in the United German French Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY. Died
14 Sep. 1905 at age 81.

He left Bremen on the Frederick. Also listed is "hy" Loth. I think "hy" is
an abbreviation. Others under 18 seem to have "hy" also as a given name.



If anyone can find any information about him, I would appreciate receiving
copies.
