Estella, to add to what Dave wrote above and I have no idea if this has
anything to do with your Guyer, I can tell you that there was a Francis Giger
listed in Union County, PA appearing only on the 1840 census. He was in
Whitedeer Township and is found on page 325 of the census.

I have no idea who Francis is since as Dave said there weren't any other
Geyers or Geigers living in that area that I am aware of.
