Hi,
I am trying to locate any descendants of John and Anney Hawley GIFFORD,
who raised their family in Blountville, Sullivan Co, TN. John died prior
to 2 July 1828 as on that date my 4gr-grandfather, Francis Hawley,
bought at public sale all goods and stock belonging to the late John
Gifford. Francis then conveyed title to the same to John and Anney's two
daughters, Sarah and Emily. Their known sons were Lawson, Thomas, John,
Joseph and William. Lawson was born in 1811 and William in 1828.

I am interested in this family becauseof the connection to my Hawley
family and I am trying to help a lady who has a William Gifford b. 1828
in TN. We feel her William and John and Anney's son are the same. Any
help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
