What a pleasant surprise to see all these Giffards. My husband's gggrandfather, George Stanley Hooper married Minnie Rose Giffard in 1865. She was his second wife and together they had 7 children. Her line goes back through a few Edwards, lots of Johns and Walters, right back to Asbjorn (Osbern) de Bolebec.
I am interested in any information on the Giffards, especially of a personal note. Does anyone know anything about a place named Halsbury? It was apparently left to a Roger Giffard by a John Giffard (who had married a Champernowne).
Can't wait to hear more about this family.
