I understand Stephen Gifford of Norwich to have been twice married, once to Hannah Gallup (surname appears also as Gallop etc.) and also to Hannah Gore.

I haven't much info, but interest in common with yours. Stephen and Hannah Gallup Gifford's dtr Ruth Gifford (b., I am told 12/30/1676) married Capt. Jeremiah Fitch (1670-1736), a son of the Rev. James Fitch (1622-1702) and the latter's 2d wife Priscilla Mason.

I believe my line to be:

Rev. James and Priscilla Mason;

Jeremiah and Ruth Gifford;

Abner Fitch and Ruth Rose;

Jeremiah Fitch and Abigail Whitmore;

Thankful Fitch b. 1765, dtr of Jeremiah and Abigail; Thankful married Jonathan Skinner of VT;

Abigail Skinner b. VT 1800 m. Williams Waid, couple settled in Crawford Co., PA;

Ozial Waid m. Sallie Bush (she a lineal descendant of Reynold Bush, claimed by many to be immigrant ancestor of our presidentiary leader);

William Donald Waid 1865-1928 m. Mary E. Dow 1865-1952; couple in Tidioute, Warren Co., PA Census with 5 children in 1900;

Ralph Dow Waid b. Tidioute PA 1888 d. Butler PA 1933, firstborn of William and Mary; married c. 1919 Kathryn Downing Connelly 1888-1971, she was dtr of Frank Connelly, who wrote a book on Johnstown Flood and grand-daughter of Wm. Cavin Connelly, Sr., hotelier and society figure of Pittsburgh, PA.

Ann Patterson Waid 1926-1986 m. William Pope b. 1922, my parents.

Any info re Stephen appreciated.
