I have (and of course no reliable sources) that he first md Elizabeth Grant (1615-1683) in 1635 in Eng, then in I show (which doesn't make sense) he married Patience Russell (1619-1663) in 1638 in Eng. Then in 1683 he married Mary Mills (1660-1731) in MA. What seems to make sense to me is that there wasn't a Patience wife, and that he only married Elizabeth, she died and he remarried Mary. Unless... the dates are incorrect.
For the children I have:
John (1639/1640 or 1642-Elizabeth Grant)
Patience (1643/1644-Elizabeth)
Hananiah (1645/1646-Elizabeth)
Mary (1650-Elizabeth)
William (1654-Elizabeth)
Christopher (1658-Elizabeth)
Robert (1660-Elizabeth)
John (1639/1640-Patience Russell)
Hannah (1642-Patience)
Stephen (1641/1643-Patience)
Patience (1643/1644-Patience)
Hananiah (1645/1646-Patience)
William (1654-Patience)
Mary (1657-Patience)
Christopher (1658-Patience)
Jonathan (1684-Mary Mills)

I know that many of these are duplicates, and I guess that is just what I am trying ot find out.... was there really three wives, and which children are whose... if even William Gifford of Sandwich MA. If in fact William did marry Patience in 1638, he and Elizabeth would have NO children according to my info, because they were all born after 1638 when he supposidly married Patience.
All the more reason I was looking to find the passenger manifest to see who he came with... wife, children and so forth. Still in search of something.
Any information you have on clearing this up? You seem to know a lot about this whole deal and the history and all. I am just getting started really. Just trying to back up my research and find proof that all this is true and what not.
