Hi Marilyn

I collect all Gillinghams and their families so although we are not related I do have information on your family. You may be aware that you appear in a book compiled by Robert Charles Gillingham and published in the 1960s. Your line goes back to a George Gillingham who lived in London, England in the 1790s and then emigrated to the US. He was a professional violinist and has many descendants in the US. I would be happy to let you have this information in either gedcom or text format if you let me know which one you would prefer.
