Wish this was my Gillingham but they came from near Hastings, Kent Co.,
England to Julian, California then to Los Angeles and we all were there
until we great grandchildren moved out of LA.

My Gillingham was John William 1796 Kent Lamberhurst England and wife

sister Mary Ann Gillingham Jeffery married to married to Caleb Jeffery. they
lived in St. Leonards for a while where my Great Grandfather had a picture
made in a rose garden. My Great grandfather was John William Gillingham

San Diego, Cal in 1869/1870 and Caroline Standen (?) came in 1872. My
great grandmother did not always tell it how it was.
