oops that was abt. 1849 for Joe Glenn, as his sister, Zelda Melvinia, was born in 1849. I am assuming he would have been born within a few years of her.
Their father had passed away in Crawford Co., IA before her marriage and she was married from Soouth English, IA.

As I can not find any information on her widowed mother after the 1880 census it is possible that she went to lliive with her brother or other relatives in South English.
