Hi,

I'm new to this.
I have done some research but seem to be stuck.
My GGF was Johann "John" Grill who arrived in USA 1909.
He settled in East St. Louis and married Theresa (not sure maiden name) She was also Austrian born, with austrian parents.
They had 3 children: John Jr, Theresa & Josephine.

I am trying to find more history from before he came to the USA-his father before him and all that...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to go fairly deep back into Austrian roots/history if I can, I just am not sure where else to look.
