Hi
Welcome to the GSCHWIND List. We'll try to help you to the best of our
knowledge.
Wurttemberg was, by the time you mention, a fairly important kingdom in
south-west of today's Germany. You should first try to find out on the exact
location of birth of your grandmother Catherine J. (thence probably
Catharina Joanna?) and the place where John F. GSCHWIND (most probably
baptized as Joannes Franciscus) was living. The same, of course would apply
to the MELHORNS.
Kind regards Daniel
