Hello Gullett list: this is a compiled listing of three census in Putnam co.
TN. 1850-1880-and 1910 showing the family of a George W. Gullett (Gullit).
Our thanks to Bettie Goolsby, David Gullett , Jim Hunter and several other
dedicated Gullett and Grimes and Byers family members.

If anyone has data on Tenn Gullett familys-partic. ones in Putnam co., Dekalb
CO.'s , Smith CO's or close by counties--please, post the data so we can help
track this family and in so doing--find living descendents and other
relationships. If anyone has any insight as to what happened to the others in
the family listed below?--please contact one of the below researchers. thanks.



The 1880 TN Putnam County census lists the following family. Gullit, George
> 57, Julia 40, Dane 20, Josie 17, Leathey 15, Millie 14, Eby 12, Thomas 9,
> no first name Jones,73, mother-in-law . They are in the Brotherton area,
> near my Rector family.
this is data from the letter reply to THE PUTNAM CO. cumberland newsletter.

This census shows a father, George,( born 1823 birth year according to this
census--birth year 1836 according to 1850- census?? difference of 13 years)
(my william thomas's (born 1833-4) brother) and a wife?, named JULIA (JONES)
GULLIT,

DANE Gullit age 20 (male or female?)
JOSIE Gullit age 17 (male or female?)(Josephine?)(JULIA?) (JOSEPH?)
LEATHEY Gullit age 15 (male or female?)
MILLIE Gullit, age 14
EBY Gullit, age 12 (male or female?) could this be: EDY Gullit a female named
after her grandmother (of the 1850 census)??
THOMAS Gullit age 9(named after his uncle william thomas gullett?)
JONES (mother in law) age 73

Question:--since My husbands great grandfather Joseph Crockett Gullett was
born in the household of William Thomas Gullett....the william thomas and his
wife Tennessee Rachael (Taylor) Gullett, household should show up on some
census of Tenness. 1870?--showing joseph crocket as age 6?--

It is a guess as to if JOSEPH Gullett(born 1848), son of Reese (Rese, Reece)
-- was alive to be in a census in 1870 or 1880?

Gullett William 16 M Farmer Tenn. (this is my william thomas gullett father
of Joseph Crockett gullett (born 1873)

Gullett Joseph 12 M Tenn.
Gullett Martha 7 F Tenn.

The two census' really help --but I need to see if I can find the familys in
the 1870 and 1880 to see who is actually still alive in Tennessee so, that I
can find descendents?.

The 1910 TN Putnam County census list Gullett, George 74 married
twice, wife Rebecca 50 married twice, Harrison Perry stepson 21 single.
I
wonder if I will find George on the death index ? (Bettie)

Note: This stepson was the child of George Washington Gullett who married
R.M. PERRY (Rebecca) 15 Sept. 1901 service performed: by the Rev. E.F.
Hudgens.

We are searching for Gullett female lines, Rebecca Perry, R.M. Gullett who
married F.E. Elrod, (is this rebecca perry?)and Dora Gullett who married I.H.
Bilbrey.

Also, searching for local (putnam co.) Byers familys, Willett familys,Grimes
familys, and Blaylock family.
