Carol Jim Gullett 1921-2001
MACKSVILLE < Carol Jim Gullett, 80, died Oct. 13 at Western Plains Medical
Center in Dodge City. He was born July 17, 1921, in Pawhuska, Okla., the son
of James William and Belle Forest Gullett. He graduated from Pawhuska Indian
School in Oklahoma. He married Patsy Jean Gullett. A resident of Macksville,
he worked as a measurement technician for Northern Natural Gas Company, oil
pumper for Sante Fe Pipe and Supply, and as a carpenter.
Gullett was a member of Macksville Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign
Wars in St. John. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, James William Gullett of
San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Mary L. Klee of Shasta Lake, Calif.,
Sharon M. Torkelson of Beaubier, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Jane L. McGinty
of Derby; one brother, Loyd Gullett of Wynona, Okla.; one sister, Ellena
Grimes of Borger; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Ann Gullett; one brother, Harold
Gullett; and one sister, Delva Ogan.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. Carey
Haner and Scott Moyer officiating. Burial will be at Farmington Cemetery in
Macksville. Friends may call until 8 tonight at Minnis Chapel in Macksville.
Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of the funeral chapel.

James Carol Gullett was the son of Jim Gullett and Belle Forrest SUMPTER
Gullett of Hominy, Okla.
His sister, Ellena Faris Gullett Grimes died on jan 5, 2002 in Borger, tex.
