Subject: Two Russell Families of Woburn Mass. 1696 to 1722

I have run into a road block and am trying to solve a problem
of two Elizabeth Russells from Woburn Mass.. Jonathan Jones who is a
descendant of Hugh Jones from Salem Mass. married in Woburn Mass. on
August 7,1721 a Elizabeth Russell.

I have looked at two Genealogies for John Russell from Woburn.
One list a Elizabeth Russell parents as John Russell and Elizabeth
Palmer. It say Elizabeth Russell married ? no date.

The other Russell genealogy list the same parents but list
Elizabeth married to Unknown Pierce.

I also checked two Hugh Jones Genealogies, one list Elizabeth
Russells parents as John Russell and Elizabeth Palmer. The other Hugh
Jones Genealogy list Elizabeth Russells parents as William Russell and
Ruth Richardson.

I then checked the Vital records for Woburn Mass.. There is
one Elizabeth Russell being born to John Palmer and Elizabeth Russell in
the year 1696. They are two marriages in Woburn for a Elizabeth
Russell. The first is Elizabeth Russell of Woburn married Jonathan
Jones Aug.7,1721. The next is Elizabeth Russell married Edward Knight
both of Wobourn July 17,1722.

I checked for the two Russell's John and William. John Russell
is listed as marying Elizabeth Palmer both of Woburn. A William Russell
of New Salem Village is lsited as marrying Ruth Richardson of Wobourn
Jan. 20,1703. No Daughter was shown to have been born in Wobourn for
this couple. I have seen Genealogies for this couple that they did have
a daughter named Elizabeth Russell. William Russell is a direct
descendant of Francis Nourse and Rebbeca Towne.

Can anyone give any help. I had a page from Wobourn History
sent me it list John Russell and Elizabeth Palmer's daughter born June
21, 1690 but does not list who she married.

My Jonathan Jones was born in Wobourn Mass. July 22,1702. He
could have married both Elizabeth. Elizabeth ,whose parents are John and
Elizabeth , who have been older when they married Aug. 7,1721.
