Subject: Billerica queries in old Yankee magazines
Date: Fri, 13 Nov 1998 10:57:55 -0500
Hi again,
Please let me know your opinion about this idea I had.
I have recently gone through a collection of old Yankee magazines from
1982 through 1985 and found about a dozen queries having to do with
Billerica. I thought I might do what I could to answer some of these
queries and post the answers to the list. Would this old stuff be an
imposition on the list? After all, some of the people asking for the
info may well have died, and others might have found the answers on
their own long ago.
On the other hand, some people might find the info useful. If the list
members think I should, I'll begin posting the queries, one at a time,
under a heading something like "Billerica Query in Yankee, Sept 1982."
I won't be able to provide any information about any of the other
queries posted in those old Yankees. My knowledge is strictly limited
to Billerica before 1860, the result of my dissertation research. So if
you remember submitting a query to Yankee in 1983 that dealt with, say,
Berlin, NH, I won't be able to tell you a thing about it.
Thanks in advance for your opinions,
Sam Brainerd
