New Mailing List for Massachusetts History!

Mahistory is a new listserv created to facilitate communication and
collaboration among members of the Massachusetts historical records
community. The historical records community include people and
organizations who create, use, hold, or care about historical records.

The list is an outcome of the Massachusetts Historical Records Advisory
Board (MHRAB) Strategic Planning Project. The MHRAB, administered by the
Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth, William Francis Galvin,
serves the public as the central advisory board for historical records
projects and plans. The list is generously hosted by the University of
Massachusetts, Boston Computer Science Department.

If you are interested in communicating with curators, researchers, and
creators of historical records you are welcome to join the mailing list.
The list can be used to share information and ideas about the
acquisition, preservation, and use of historical records. Appropriate
areas for postings, generally speaking, are archives, records
management, education, preservation and conservation, reference and use,
and related areas.
