Subject: Boston VRs 1830-1900?

I have a couple of novice questions about Boston VRs in the 1830-1900
period.

1. My ancestors were married at Boston 1834 and there was a notation of
the event in the two Boston papers that were operating at that time. I
never found the record in Boston Vital Records.

Where would it normally have been located? Commissioner Reports?

2. I feel that there were VR events in Boston in the 1800s that possibly
didn't make the 5 year indexes.

Disregarding the state index, how would I check the Boston records for
deaths in the 1850-1900 period? I am going to use the LDS films to check
the records.
