Subject: Immigration to Boston States.

While checking into my ancestors it has been revealed that they immigrated
from Prince Edward Island to the "Boston States". What does this mean? What
could have been their port of entry? Where can I find this information? I
am already looking into the Canada Archives on the Canadian end, but don't
know where to start at on the Boston States end. Can anyone help?
