Yvonne, In the case of my family you are right. Mine started in the UK then went to Canada
I know one generation that came to the US and I know of one sibling who returned to
Quebec. I was very lucky to find many of my family records are at St. Alphonse in Quebec.
Unfortunately, the French language was passed no further than my mother. Be persistent
though I have managed to find records. Now comes the task of requesting them. And as you
can guess my Irish-Canadian Catholic family is quite large. I can't wait to make a trip to
that area and I am hoping to get my parent's and my mother's sister to make the trip with
us. My mother and her sisters were born in Fall River.
I think I found one of my maternal grandfather's aunt on this list as well.
